The mushroom cloud rising above the Michigan Democratic Party/Reform Michigan Government Now plan just keeps getting bigger. Today, the Wall Street Journal zeroes in the sorry rationale behind this scheme to pack Michigan’s courts with liberal activists and gerrymander state voting districts to hand Democrats legislative control:

Reform Michigan’s backs want to rig the process in their favor because they can’t win majorities by presenting their ideas to voters.

Still no word from Gov. Granholm or Lt. Gov. Cherry – both of whom helped finance the plan – on whether they’ll cut their losses and call on state Democrats to stop the disgraceful campaign to trash Michigan’s Constitution.
